11bee
Meng continues to impress. Just announced a brand new M2A3 Brad, with full interior, engine, tranny, ERA blocks, separate track links and all the latest upgrades. Looks to be a simply fantastic kit, will go nice along side their IDF Azcharit APC. They go as far as providing "TPE" (whatever that is) seatbelts and ammo belts for the coax. http://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/newkitnews/mengmodel.html Edited November 28, 2013 by 11bee

This drastically limits your build options to just a small number of Iraq-based Brads.

You can get PE rear hull boxes or scavenge plastic ones from earlier Tamiya or Academy kits. I bet an AM company will come out with them in resin too. Copying your own in resin wouldn't be hard either.
B2Blain
Just curious. Can you make an Iraqi Freedom A2 out of the Meng kit.
11bee
Just curious. Can you make an Iraqi Freedom A2 out of the Meng kit. No but I believe someone else just announced a new-tool A2 recently. Not sure if it has ERA and the other late-war mods or is just a basic A2.
HeavyArty
Just curious. Can you make an Iraqi Freedom A2 out of the Meng kit. Not from the box, but you can combine it with a few pieces (rear stowage boxes and side armor panels) from a Tamiya or Academy M2A2 kit and have a basic M2A3. For an M2A2, you would have to leave off the CITV (Commander's Independent Thermal Viewer) from the right rear of the turret and replace the turret stowage basket since the one in the kit is smaller to accommodate the CITV. ...someone else just announced a new-tool A2 recently. Not sure if it has ERA and the other late-war mods or is just a basic A2. Orochi just announced an M3A3, not an M2A2. No word when it will be out though. It too is supposed to have a full interior. HeavyArty
Nice job. That is the Meng M2A3 TUSK III kit. It is a very nice kit. Meng also has come out with an M3A3 CFV with a separate full interior set. They both are great kits. Orochi's M3A3 CFV came out with no interior. It isn't that great of a kit. Some areas are nice, others (many others) are just bad, worse quality than the older Tamiya kits. I would stick with Meng. Here is a build review I recently did on the Orochi M3A3 kit.
