Twig
G'day guys, Not sure if anyone's been reading my first WIP on here but this is my 1/48 Italeri A-20B backdated to an A model and done in a prewar scheme of natural metal. As the title suggests, this is my first attempt at foiling and while it's not prefect it seems to have come up okay! Weathering was pretty much non existent as this would have been a very new plane and kept in good condition. Anyway, on with the photos. I hope you like it! :) WIP located here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=269737 Comments or questions welcome! Cheers, Craig

VMFA314Knights
Craig, Followed the WIP along - the kit turned out great. Excellent job - maybe I'll have to give this technique a go next year. Congratulations. Cheers, David

Twig
Thanks for the kind words guys! If you're even slightly considering using foil for a project, seriously just have a crack. You can't expect to make a masterpiece on your first go, mine has many, many errors but it seems practice is the only way to go with this stuff. Mind you, the next project will not be a foil job, as I don't think I have enough #11 blades left! :) Cheers, Craig
falcon20driver
It came out great. It takes patience but its one of the most rewarding finishes there is. You should be real proud.
