No models here but I did get 40.00 gift card to Hobby Lobby, 100.00 cash and a pre paid 50.00 visa card. I see a new air compressor coming my way soon. Just have to decide which one I want to order. I'm stuck between a California Air tools twin cylinder or a Master Airbrush TC-828 or TC848. Any suggestions from the gallery would be apreciated. Nice stash you recieved!!!!

Funnily enough, I'm sort of embarking on a little love affair myself: just discovered the Metal Earth range a few days ago! I'd be interested in your opinion of that little locomotive in your haul.

It's sort of a tradition that me & Mrs Who (and our respective families) ignore the whole modelling thing over Christmas; our gifts are a tad more conventional. Sadly, this also reflects the surreal extent of my procurement budget over the preceding twelve months -if I ever did stop to add it all up, what little hair I have left would turn very white indeed...

I've never heard of the Metal Earth stuff myself until today, and I have to say, I'm intrigued. That one is from my brother in law, kind of a cross over gift, covers models and trains, both top of my list.

Yeah, they seem to cover a lot of subjects. The Star Wars stuff and Architectural models appeal; they have the rather beautiful Himeji-jo that was kitted by Doyusha (I think?) a while back, and the Burj Khalifa -wonder how big that one is! One and a half miles from the base of the real one, you can still be in its shadow...

If they ever get around to the fabulous, origami-like Taipei 101, I'm on the case!

I got the new revell F-105D T-stick II, then as I opened another present, I peeled back the wrapping paper and was pleasantly shocked to see a 1/72 Anigrand C-133. :jaw-dropping:

Very generous and thoughtful, and it is one of my favorite aircraft. ... a bench clearing drop everything else event :)

I got the Revell british legends collection kit with a 1/72 spitfire, a 1/72 hawker hurricane and a 1/72 Lancaster. I also got a Revell 1/72 Hawker Hunter which i really wanted since it was the first model i build when starting moddeling and i wanted to see if my skills improved over the 4 (or so) years since i started.

Sadly, i have to work today, but i hope to do some building tomorrow.

BTW, those are the model related gifts i recieved. I also go other great gifts from my girlfriend and the "in-laws".

Wow Bill, that's one heck of a haul! When I mentioned model kits for Xmas all I got was "Over my dead body!", but somehow a little Huey and a NASA decal sheet snuck in there whistle.gif .

Is that the Dragon Saturn V there? That kit is hard to get. I have it on back order from my LHS since August. Gotta wait for the new production run.

Why yes it is! It's the second largest kit box in my stash, 1/48 B-1B is a tad bigger.

Cool, will you post the finished model in ship forum?

I will post a link to a gallery, as I do with all of my builds. No video on this one, though. I don't have time to do videos on all my builds, just select ones.

Here is a link to the build blog for it, if you want to follow along.
