no_man_army
Im currently building a 1/32 F-15 that is far too big for my cabinet and i would like to get an acrylic display case for it but its huge! any ideas where i could get a cheap one or if it would be cheaper to make my own? If i was to make my own what glue would be suitable for acrylic?
salvine
Hate to be a downer but 1/32nd F-15 and cheap case most likely won't go together. Of course cheap is relative but my last case was for a 1/350th destroyer and was in the range of 100 bucks and I built the wood base. I think I had it made by a company that advertises in FSM but can't be sure. As far as glue goes, most of out solvents like Tenax work just fine on acrylic. If you have access to a table saw you should be able to buy the stock sheet you need and cut the pieces yourself. Not sure if there is a special blade or not since I/m pretty sure it would be easy to burn/melt the sheet as it's being cut.
