1/72 Kinetic F-16I Sufa

Recommended Posts

Here is the latest addition to my fleet of small scale F-16 builds, a 1/72 Kinetic F-16I Sufa, with Isradecal decals (except the bat tail art- it was from the kit sheet and matched Model Master's FS30219 Dark Tan perfectly). The Python V AAMs on the lower missile rails were scratch built because I wasn't thrilled with the kit versions. The belly tank is from my spares box. Model Master and Humbrol paints were used to paint the model, and Testors new CreateFX washes were used to accentuate the panel lines. Thanks for looking!

Excellent work!

How was the fit of the Kinetic?

Thanks! The fit wasn't bad at all. I was expecting to have to wrestle the CFTs and spine into place and then use a fair amount of filler, but they fit like a glove. The only thing that was rather bothersome was having to add the landing gear during the lower fuselage construction process. Because of how that area builds up, there's no way you can add the landing gear struts after painting/weathering/decal application. Made for some awkward handling at times.

Cheers,

Albert
