CD48058 - ANG F-101B Part 2

Recommended Posts

This is the second ANG F-101B sheet I promised a while ago. The first one was very successful and sold out rather quickly. CD48058 will have the following options:

- F-101B 57-0445, Minnesota ANG

- F-101B 58-0341, North Dakota ANG

- F-101B 57-0292, Texas ANG (bicentennial scheme)

- F-101B 57-0342, Texas ANG ('78 William Tell Champions)

- F-101B 57-0270, Texas ANG ('80 William Tell Champions)

I will create profiles sometime next week and post them. Here is the final layout:

There is a small, second sheet with national insignia, etc.

Just wondering. Do you think you will ever reprint the part 1 sheet with the Oregon ANG on it?

I think I will reprint CD48010 eventually (perhaps next year when KT might do a new tool F-101B), but not anytime soon.

Last 10 sheets. I am not sure what happened here - this was not a limited run, and it sold much faster than I expected. I guess there was some pent-up demand for Texas ANG markings.

I will not reprint this until a new tool F-101B (possibly from Kitty Hawk) comes to the market.

I figured I was not alone there -I'm only surprised you have that many left! 48-058 is a superb set of decals with great options for the Texans; I am still really excited about it. Many thanks for this. If anyone has a Monogram Voodoo kicking around, treat it to these: you will be the better for it!

Also, I'm totally certain there is considerable pent-up demand (ah, those whacky economists!) for USAF F-104 (NMF) markings in 1/48, as discussed elsewhere...

Hi Kursad,

Should you decide to scale this sheet down to 72nd scale, which I hope you do, how about adding some stencils? There's a lot of first releases of this kit floating around out there with crappy decals and stencils are hard to come by. Thanks, Fred K.

If I scale it down it will have the same stencilling as on the 1/48 sheet, or the 1/72 scale F-101B sheet I had done earlier.

Kursad,

That's fine.  But what I think Fred is saying is that two complete sets of stencil data and blue U.S. Air Force titles on the sheet would be nice, if you could fit them in. After looking at my copy of CD72011, there is alot of dead space on the sheet. I am not sure that you could fit two complete stencil sets on CD72011, but it would make for more value.

Or if nothing else, a set of stencils in your Basic line-up would probably go over well in 72nd and 48th too. Just a thought..... Fred K.
