no_man_army
Ive just finished painting my f15 in the 65th aggressors squadron desert camo, only to realise ive ordered israeli decals (1/32) If i want it to be at least semi accurate do i need new decals or do israel have f15's without the green in the camo and the gray underside? Could i get away with using the israeli decals on the 65th aggressors squadron camo?
Tony Stark
You'll need new decals. Afterburner made a sheet of 1/48 scale Aggressor F-15s that includes a bonus 1/32 set of one of the jets (Splinter Eagle I think) that's available from Sprue Brothers for $19.99. It's got the wrong tail numbers for a desert camo jet, but it's way more accurate than putting on Israeli decals. Edited January 1, 2014 by Tony Stark
Dave Williams
Israeli F-15 camo was pretty standardized. The F-15I Ra'am used a desert type camo scheme, while the F-15A/B/C/D Baz used the standard grey legacy Eagle schemes.
Netz
Or you can add the green (you never said what mark your F-15 is) and do the one off Pre-Sale proposal to the IDF/AF with a "A" model painted in a desert camo (it followed the same lines as your aggressor camo). Why not just repaint your model to the correct colors?? Curt Edited January 2, 2014 by Netz
