White Wolf
Rebox of the 1/72 Revell kit with JASDF markings. I don't think I remember Hasegawa ever releasing a WHIF kit of an actual aircraft before.
jenshb
Back in the late 80s or early 90s, Hasegawa released a kit of the F-X (this was shortly after announcing that the F-16 would form the basis of the F-1 replacement) using their F-16 kit and adding canards on the air intake. As we know, the F-2 looked rather different. Jens
arnobiz
Why do they rebox the Revell kit? Do they not have their own? Arnaud
Inquisitor
Why do they rebox the Revell kit? Do they not have their own? Arnaud They have their own 1/48 kit, but they don't have a 1/72 one. They rebox Revell because they're Revell's distributor in Japan.
scotthldr
I think they've re boxed a few Revell and Italeri kits for distribution within the Far East, same as Revell have reboxed Hasegawa's F-4, F-104 and A7 for the European market.

Yeah, to clarify this is Revel Germany. They have a pretty good relations with Hasegawa. Revell USA used to box Hasegawa kits (Pro-MOdeler line) but I havn't seen this in a few years now. Kevan Vogler
If they're going to put "What if" markings in the box, this is MUCH better than those ghastly Idol Master things they did.

Captoveur
It means that nobody really loves the F-35. . . it means that Japan, Israel, and maybe a couple other nations with the finances would have bought F-22s if we had cleared it for foreign military sales, thus lowering the unit price for everyone. And now the line is shut down.
