Flankerman
Just finished....... The camouflage netting is made from gauze bandage. I'm not sure what it is - but the retractable equipment 'dustbin' behind the crew can is usually covered by a canvas bag - so I made one from wine bottle foil, suitably painted.... I'm not too happy with the 'mud' on the wheels - I'll have to modify it.... The tires are rubber - and I have cut a slice of the bottom of each to add a bit of 'weight' to the model. Thankfully, they all touch the ground - more-or-less. I also turned the first four steerable wheels - to add a bit of 'action'. This new kit from Zvezda is superbly detailed - except for the crew compartments which are bare. I'm off now to build a second one - in launch configuration. Sven Harjacek
Great build Sir, how are the details ? Kind regards, Sven. Edited March 5, 2014 by Sven Harjacek
Flankerman
Thanks Sven, I put the WIP in the wrong place .... it is here. The build is complex - with lots of small parts to attach. You have to study the instructions carefully - there are two sets of wheel axles/hubs for example. But no big issues - except strange that there is no crew cabin interior. The fit of parts is exceptional - with very precise mouldings Well done to Zvezda for such a great kit Ken
