kozlok
Had the jet more or less done before the decals arrived, got it done tonight. Thanks Kursad for some awesome looking Voodoos! Took some quick snaps on the bench. Will try to set up to take photos on a nicer background later. k5ikl
Nice job. I have that set too and now need to get a Voodoo started. What did you use for the yellow striping on the canopy/windscreen glass? Cheers, Jerry Edited March 1, 2014 by k5ikl
Slartibartfast
Looks just like what I used to see flying overhead in the early 70's
Viasistina
K5. Some decal company actually made a set of decals for the 101 canopy striping. I'll dig out the name a bit later as I have a Voodoo on the line.....the Maniacs" from Caracal.
ChippyWho
...or there's the Eduard canopy mask set that lets you paint the 'rubber' bits. That is fabulous, kozlok -very nice work on the engines also. When I saw this, it made what's left of my hair stand on end. And now I have these decals too! Nowwww, maybe just a Lone Star T-33 and F-4 needed to round out my collection... texasraider
Great Job!!!! Brings back memories of those airshows at Ellington Field in the 70s and early 80s when the 111 FIS would always open the show with a demonstration in their 101s at the time
kozlok
What did you use for the yellow striping on the canopy/windscreen glass? Just a bit of paint and a number 0 sable. I used Model Master RLM04, I liked that it wasn't as bright as pure yellow.
KursadA
Your Texas F-101 looks great! I have one kit in the stash waiting to be built in these markings, and I am looking forward to finding some time to start it..
Joel_W
Outstanding. Just an impressive build. The yellow on the canopy is just about the best I've ever seen. Joel

I discovered Dick Blick Master Kolinsky sables many years ago. They make painting a perfect line a breeze. I wish it were skill, but the only skill I possess is choosing the best paintbrush. Joel_W
If you saw some of my brushes, you know just how skillful you are. :whistle:/>" Joel Edited March 3, 2014 by Joel_W
