MacStingy
Good morning all I have seen so many variations of blue on art work and models for WW1 German undersides, that I'm more confused than ever. personally I'm leaning towards turquoise blue. Do any expert modellers out there have a secret mix that they achieve this colour with? So far the only ready to use seems to be Xtracolour. I can't get that here and was wondering if any of you had a match that you use. I have spent hours and hours mining information for this project and this is where I'm stalled. I'm building the Revell Dr1. This is the kit that I first built back in the mid '60s but it's taking me an awful lot longer this time. Thanks for any help you can give me Paul
vince14
Misterkit do a range of WWI paints, including Fokker Turquoise. I don't know if you can get them in the States, but they're available from www.modelskills.co.uk in the UK. Vince
MacStingy
Thanks for the tip, Vince. I'm going to try MM RLM64 and see how it looks . A drop of yellow might give me a more turquoise cast. Time to experiment. I've spent way too much time agonizing over colours and streaking techniques. I just need to move on. Cheers Paul
