Djack
Well I was fortunate enough to be able to make the trip to Arizona this past weekend with my son to see the public debut of the first "official" F-35B demo. What I didn't know until a couple days before hand was, I would also get the privilege to meet a fellow ARCer, Chris "Aggressor01" and he invited us to go on a flight line tour of the famous "Snipers" and their F-5's. That right there made the whole trip worth it. What a great place this is to be able to share our passion of aviation and model building, we truly have a great group of people on here. The demo was awesome to see, however, kinda tame for what the plane really can do, but I also remember seeing the first F-22 demo as well, and it was limited as well. I'm sure it will get better as the commanders allow. Two more post to follow, then the next day we headed north to Luke AFB. I was pleasantly surprised to see the F-35A fly in the airshow, as I only thought it would be on static. Those pictures coming soon! Great to see military airpower again on display in the U.S. after a year off.

kiowafixer
Great Photos! Thank You for sharing them. Interesting that the F-35 doesn't have the typical Navy/Marine Corps red edges on the landing gear doors. KiowaFixer
onosendai
What beautiful memories for me in Yuma...... apart from the infernal heat, i've spent one week with marines, the F-5 are the same of that time.
