kiowafixer
When you need gas, you need gas. Sorry, couldn't resist, but I am curious about the back story as well. Commercial shoot maybe? KiowaFixer

Grey Ghost 531
Shouldn't he be using the diesel nozzle? Unless Danish Vipers are multi-fuel that 87 octane is going to be an issue...

SimFixer
Don't they charge by the liter (litre)? At 4400-ish liters that could be a spendy top off! Edited April 9, 2014 by SimFixer
habu2
Shouldn't he be using the diesel nozzle? Unless Danish Vipers are multi-fuel that 87 octane is going to be an issue... Diesel or gasoline, that's not where you re-fuel an F-16. It looks like he's got the nozzle in the external power hookup.... and TTBOMK there's no round door/panel at that location. kozlok
and TTBOMK there's no round door/panel at that location. Sure there is, I can see it...It says "FUEL" right on it.

dan
I vaguely remember a TV ad by BP from when I was a kid with a RAF Harrier dropping in to BP service station for fuel and a snack.

Sebastijan
Shouldn't he be using the diesel nozzle? Unless Danish Vipers are multi-fuel that 87 octane is going to be an issue... Don't know he is it in the states, but in Europe, you'll hardly get just 87 octane gasoline. He's using the black nozzle, which is colour code for diesel, while green is 95 octane gasoline and blue 100 octane.

More info: https://www.facebook.com/danishairshow?fref=ts or www.danishairshow.dk The pilot looks as if he's in a trance!!! Like he's not there.  Good idea for a video.... Thanks for the photo ...
niart17
Surely a fill-up of this magnitude will come with the free run through the car wash right? And Holmes, I think he's in a trance because he accidentally hit the button that said "yes, tell me more about Additech fuel system cleaner" That drives me insane too!
