Tracy White Posted April 20, 2015 Share Posted April 20, 2015 You're mixing your terms up so I'm not sure what you need either. Arizona's casemate guns were 5" guns, not 14". A casemate is a fixed structure that a gun sticks out through. Unlike a turret, only the gun within turns, so there needs to be a horizontal slot for the entire arc of the gun's train (swing). Arizona's 14" guns were turreted and mounted within a barbette, the armored ring underneath the turning turret. So, you could mean the casemate guns, the 14" turrets (minus guns?), the barbettes...
