Motty
Hi guys, I'm in with those RAAF jets: 75 SQN A21-49 F/A-18A 3 SQN A21-32 F/A-18A No 2 OCU A21-113 F/A-18B 77 SQN A7-077 MB-326 Just some info in case it's something you'd like to know about. I don't think A21-49 has ever served with 75Sqn. It's mostly been in 77Sqn markings (and it's currently wearing the 77 Sqn 70th anniversary scheme) but I do also have photos of it with 3 Sqn for a short time. A21-32 has been assigned to the Aircraft Research and Development unit (ARDU) pretty much since it was delivered, so has not served with a regular Sqn. You're in luck with the other two though as '113 has been with 2OCU and A7-077 was the only Macchi to actually wear 77 Sqn markings. I hope this helps in some way. Cheers, Motty. f12aaa
Hi Motty, I'm been asked to build the models by an ex RAAF pilot that flew them, so the infos he gave me about should be right. CraigSargent
Nice work Simone. Are you using Gunze acrylics? Curious how much colour difference there is between the H308 lowers and H337 uppers and whether I might need to look at a different brand when time comes to paint mine. The demarcation on the Aussie Hornets is very distinct and I'm a little worried that the Gunze H337 might be a little on the light side. Regards, Craig.
f12aaa
Hi Craig, yes I'm using the Gunze Acrylics. Anyway the difference between the colors depends on the level of weathering you wish to achieve. Simone. Nice work Simone. Are you using Gunze acrylics?
