Flankerman
I was just minding my own business doing a little modeling, when I was disturbed by a loud noise. I rushed outside and grabbed my camera, just in time to snap these....... It's a Canberra PR.9 - with an Aztec(?) photo-ship up from RAF Kemble - just down the road from me. I assume it's a photo-op as the Canberra has been dormant at Kemble for a few years... Exciting stuff ..... but back to the modeling. Ken
Djack
Now there's something you don't see everyday. Very cool surprise to see I'm sure. Thanks for sharing! David
Flankerman
It looked like it was a photo-shoot - so I expect it will be gracing the front cover of an aviation mag soon.... From the orientation of the two aircraft as it flew over my house, I would suspect that Malmesbury Abbeywill be in the background of the shot. Ken
Julien (UK)
Nice to see it flying again. Julien
Frank99
Here's a TT.18 conversion of an historic Canberra, WJ574. It participated in Operation Robin, a UK (at the behest of the USA) overflight of Kapustin Yar, Russia's version of the White Sands Proving Grounds in the US. It flew chase for the actual overflying Canberra, WH726. It cleared the other Canberra, before it entered hostile airspace, of tell-tale contrails that would reveal the aircraft flying at 70,000 feet+. http://vintagetin.net/Canberra/
