origin of AMT 1/72 A-4M skyhawk

Recommended Posts

the only "M" I know is fujimi and matchbox (and soon hobbyboss)

Italeri did an A-4M (and an OA-4M) which was nice but with raised panel lines.

this is a matchbox rebox ?

Yes. Same boxart and there's "Molded in 2 colors" written on the box.

During the 70's Matchbox owned AMT and released a lot of Matchbox models through with the AMT label, AMT kits had the Matchbox name affixed on the box art. This was shortly after AMT had an unresolved negotiation situation and went out of business.
