dawestsides
Any idea to where these poor Foxbats are being transferred? The Mi-26 is huge ! Edited May 3, 2014 by dawestsides
Flankerman
Whoa !! Nice find :thumbsup:/> I expected it to be slung so that the Foxbat stayed horizontal - surprising it was so nose-down...... :woot.gif:/> I feel a diorama coming on....... Now, where's that Zvezda Mi-26 and ICM MiG-25 ???? Ken

MoFo
Wow... terrible job rigging up that load. That looks phenomenally dangerous. Neat modelling subject, though.
beingthehero
Were these the recently retired Foxbats from Monchegorsk? I have a 1/144 Mi-26 and MiG-25 in the stash. I wonder if I can jerry-rig the MiG-25 into an RB version for a diorama.
Berkut
These were lifted from Voronezh. There were some Monchegorsk frames in Voronezh but if these in particular are from there or not, impossible to say without b/n. Meanwhile, in Russia: It is also highly likely they were lifted to a local shooting range. Edited May 7, 2014 by Berkut
dawestsides
Thanks for the details Berkut. I hope the Khodynka frames were not transported in the same fashion :)

ya-gabor
Thanks for the details Berkut. I hope the Khodynka frames were not transported in the same fashion :)/> No, they had them on trailers with wings removed as well as the nosecone. They are in as good state as they were at Khodinka. It is sad to see this end to the Foxbats. There is something very wrong with in the system! Last year had a visit to the PVO (Air Defence Forces) Museum near Moscow, they were the ones to use most of the Foxbats in good old days, still the director could not arrange for a Foxbat to be supplied to the musem. . . :bandhead2: Best regards Gabor
