Timmy!
Quick update on progress. Got the Instructor pilot done. Actually some time ago, but here finally is the photographic evidence. Honestly he's not he best painted figure in the world but he cracks me up none the less. The photos mostly tell the tale. Cut, pose, fill with filling filler and painty paint. More details here http://www.timmystech.com/t45c-project-ip. On to the photos. More someday.... Timmy! Edited June 21, 2018 by Timmy!

Timmy!
This update get’s the project back to the major construction of the model. Relatively basic stuff here. I created some templates to help guide the shape changes, add some bonds and sand sand sand. Anything that required a cut into the fuselage was handled now before the fuse halves were glued together. Full write up and details here. Because we all like photos here they are and the do tell most of the story. The shape templates… 3D printed and CNC details The canopy and windscreen Finishing the shape Thanks for checking in! Timmy! Edited June 26, 2018 by Timmy!

Timmy!
Hey everbody! Gots some paint on! The red plastic proved to be an issue and took a couple of attempts and a mountain of patience to get a half way decent result. ACTUAL FOOTAGE OF MY FIRST ATTEMPT TO PAINT WHITE! As usual more details and complete write up HERE… Masking was accomplished with traditional methods and my Silhouette cutter, used to make vinyl and paper masking tape masks. I didn’t get too much photographic coverage of these steps but you should get the idea of what markings were painted. My write up describes the process better than photos in this case. Anyway here you go…. Thanks for checking in. Off to do some decaling! Timmy!
A-10 LOADER
Very nice work. Steve
Timmy!
Lately I had down time at work, sitting as a stand by airline pilot waiting to get a call to go fly, to fill the hours I was fooling around with my 12” iPad Pro, an Apple Pencil and a painting program called Procreate. As usual the complete write up is HERE. I was going for a cell shaded look and not a highly detailed paining. I was fiddling around wth Procreate not trying to create a master piece. Thought the result was worth sharing tho… Bonus video of the time lapse feature in Procreate… Edited July 24, 2018 by Timmy!

Timmy!
Jeff, Thanks for posting those! My model is clearly the older, I think original, design. I like the new teeth, not so much the tiger on the spine. I suspect since the original was s copy of the NFL Bengals, a change was mandated. Beautiful photography on your part, you’ve got skills! regards, Timmy!
ST0RM
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Photography is a great fair weather distraction during my work travels. Your conversion looks spot on for the older jet you intended. Interesting how they have made subtle changes. The tiger head, the 09 on upper tail vs CO, 4 stripes now, instead of 5 and of course the mouth. Cant wait for more progress!
Timmy!
Oh I yeah, I hadn’t noticed the tail....so focused on the version I’m building. I didn’t study the current scheme.
lockheed2004
Is “Arrestnig Hook” unique to the aircraft? I didn’t see that covered in your article, just curious, or if you had an easy to fix typo on your decal.
