davegee1
Hi All: I just completed a 1/350 Trumpeter model of the SS Jeremiah OBrien Liberty Ship for a local museum. It was pretty straight forward out of the box build, although I am not used to dealing iwth so many tiny parts! (lol) I think it came out ok, especially considering I haven't built a ship like before. I thought the kit was pretty good, instructions were helpful, and the fit of most parts was pretty good. I'll post a few pics. davegee Edited May 7, 2014 by davegee1
gtb -red
Nicely done. I'm starting to get into the support navy ships myself.
davegee1
The original modeler who was supposed to build this model for some reason backed out, so they asked if I would be interested, due to the fact I had already built seven WWII aircraft models for an exhibit at a museum here in the Denver area. It was fun to do; I don't remember building a ship like this before. Those I have done have been sailing ships, and some ironclads of the Civil War. I thought Trumpeter did a nice job with this kit, and I found the instructions easy to use. davegee
