How to post pictures ????????

Hi All,

i have just put up a post of my about my boeing 787, but have not been able to put the images without them being refer back via external link.

can anyone help as i have wasted about 2 hours trying to get right.

it would be nice to see the finish product with some silly warining stating that you are unable to put images up.

Hey,

You have to host your images somewhere on the web. Once you have done that, you can retrieve the URL of your image by clicking the right mouse button. Put this URL between andin your post and the picture pops up!

I always use www.photobucket.com

Hi Dutchman,

i have the picture in photobucket which is all good. i have found it to be this website insert image. saying that i couldn't post the image.

i can see where i gone wrong.

This warning is what i got when i just tried to add a picture. You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board.

That's strange, does that happen when you put the URL's you just posted between [ IMG ] and [ /IMG ](without the spaces)? (click the image icon next to the smiley in the toolbar above the text box)

Hi TheFlyingDutchman,

yes that happen when i put the as ex:urland went to post it and the warning pop up.

which real made me abit piss off and then loooked on the help page that didn't help at all.

o well. if the admin person on this site may help which will be a first. i believe the helpdesk is lacking in support for newbie.

I wouldn't say that too quickly, if you ask your question in the FAQ forum I'm sure one of the admins will help you out.

I really have no idea why anyone uses Photobucket. It's a right royal PITA, and you frequently get bandwidth exceeded messages, etc. For the past several years I've been using www.postimg.org with not the first problem. It's extremely user friendly and very easy to use - and the basic service is free. I paid a very small fee (I think it was like $10) a long time ago and I now have far more hosting space than I ever use...
