caiotfjr
I think we could now try to guess the next Cup winner. And in the next days, we could guess the next matches winners
Sven Harjacek
I'd go with either Argentina or Germany.

Les / Creative Edge Photo
Spain has to be favoured, but Brazil on its home country will get a boost from the rabid fans. The Germans will be tough too. Dark horses Argentina and Italy. I'll pull for "Tangerine Dream" The Dutch only because over the years they were just the team I began to pull for. I'm not a big footballer fan but World Cup generates interest for me.
jester292
Spain or Germany. Netherlands for the dark horse, and who I'll be cheering for. Aaron

Besides their tradition (2 world titles), they will come with the best player in the world, Messi, and another truly outstanding one, Di Maria. They have excelent players and a sound team (as always) and nothing could mean more than winning a world cup in the country of their biggest rivals.
Litvyak
Given where it is... Brazil needs to win to avoid a (literal) bloodbath. Though I'll be pulling for England of course, and Holland and Bosnia. Wouldn't mind seeing the US do well, either, to be honest.
4scourge7
I thought England was a good outside bet at 28-1, so I backed it with cash. Not enough to miss, but enough for a tidy return in the snowball-in-Hades chance they actually win it. More meds nurse Ta muchly!

11bee
I'm just hoping that the entire thing goes off without being shut down by riots / strikes. Not impressed with Brazil's ability to host these games and getting pretty worried about the 2016 summer Olympics. Maybe not such a good idea awarding high profile events like this to countries that aren't adequately prepared to host them?

HOLMES
I am watching CRICKET.. Can't stand that horrible idiotic chap on IITV who is presenting the program... ;) Good luck to all the countries taking part and may the best team Win....
jester292
Already two shady calls in Brazils favor. Who would've seen that coming? Aaron
11bee
Neither are we <_</> World Cup 2014 LOL... Had no idea FIFA was that bad. Gotta love the Budweiser Law though..... Thanks for the tutorial, now I definitely feel sorry for Brazil. The only ones who have it worse will be the poor SOB's who have to play in 120 degree heat the next time in Qatar. Blackhawk
Not a chance Brasil will be champions, qauterfinals is maximum (if referees and FIFA doesnt say different). Shame for my country, 2:1 was real result, shame for third goal. And for penalty, but Brasil was better. I hope we didn't disappointed people around world, but we coulnd't play attacking football against Brasil in opening game.
Mumbles
shame for third goal. And it's nonsense like that (never mind all the corruption) which makes it hard to take the game seriously. Diving in football is a pathetic joke.
Crazy Snap Captain
It was certainly no penalty. However the end result was reflective of the game. 2:1 would have been better though as Croatia played very well. 3:1 was a.bit flattering for the Brazilian(giggity)s. Last year, we've beaten the allmighty Spain last Federation's Cup for 3x0 in the finals, showing them how to play. I'm mostly concerned with the next phase (Round of 16), when Brazil would get Spain or our long time rivals, the Netherlands. Any of them would be very tough to be beaten. THE game for be watched tomorrow: Spain x Netherlands! I predict a draw

I thought Croatia played very well.....had the first header gone in coupled with the OG, they win. The "dive" was a joke of course, but the ref gave the home team some lovin....Play like that against Mexico and Cameroon, it's on to the knock out stage.
riceballtrp
For what it's worth, a European team has never won the cup outside of Europe.........Argentina wins and Messi is crowned the greatest ever...even with Brazil home cooking officiating
