71roadrunner426
Can I use Lacquer thinner, distilled water or rubbing alcohol with these paints or do I have to use their brand? Thanks, Rob
RichardL
I have had good luck using their own thinner, but distilled water should also work. I don't think alcohol will work, but give it a shot.
Crazy Snap Captain
Rob, I've tried their thinner. It works ok but I find it very expensive and I believe it's little more than distilled water. Distilled water works ok as well but I find best results come from 75% distilled water and 25% Windex. Way cheaper than LifeColor's offering and the results are better in my opinion. Mike C
Use distilled water mixed with Windex at equal ratio. See my thread HERE. BTW, best paint:thinner ratio is 3 parts paint, 2 parts thinner, although 50:50 is OK too for their matt/flat.

Julien (UK)
Works really well with Vallejo airbush cleaner as a thinner. The cleaner has a small amount of ethylene glycol in it and I find this acts to retard the paint. I tested some when I first started using it on this old matchbox 101 and I liked the results. Will use this where I can, thought the colour match looked very good. Julien
