The instructions also show machine guns mounted on the rear doors; should these be there and if so what type of machine gun are they? Quote Link to post Share on other sites

hawkwrench Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 As far as I know, the 160th SOAR never uses anything mounted in the TC area. Just crew manned mini guns in the CC windows. HeavyArty Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Hawkwrench is correct (of course!). 160th SOAR never mounted teh rear .509 cals. The USAF did mount the .50 cals in the cargo doors during ODS on MH-60G Pave Hawks then quickly found out there was no room for the PJs to operate in the back if the whole rear was taken up w/guns and ammo.
