Clumber
Are there any retail jigs that can be used to line up individual track links for assembly? Adjustable so it can be used for most track sizes? I am sure I could build one myself with some scrap wood and dowels, however I strongly doubt I will. Buying one, overpriced or not, is a more likely option. Much Thanks in advance! Netz
Did you even try to look? I just googled 1/35 Tank Track jig and found at least 4 different types. But I think building one would be the way to go. Curt Edited June 15, 2014 by Netz
Clumber
Yes I did look, though mostly at the retailers Spruebros, Hannants, HLJ, Roll Models, and the web forums like Armorama. The only one I found was $50 and I am currently trying to convince the Household CFO that I need a $50 jig and so far she ain't buying that.
Netz
Just searching google turned up some home made wooden ones, I think with a selection of aluminum angles you could piece together something that will work for you. Curt
Tank
Not sure of your armor needs but have you looked at http://hobbytrax.net/ ? They have a multi purpose set, it's not adjustable but may work for most of your needs and price range. http://hobbytrax.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=65_72&products_id=203 I have a number of them including the multi purpose set, since I have multiply kits of some types, for me that seemed the best route to speed up track building. I last used the Hetzer jig for the Academy kit while a little to large over all. I was able to build one half and then the other and it worked well around the idler and sprocket wheels where I needed the help. HTH
