Gripen39
Would anyone know what diameter styrene rod(plastruc?) would be used to scratch build the rear warning antennas seen on foreign F-16s? I am building several 1/72 F-16 with the extended tail fin base. Poland, Chile, Morocco, etc. all have these antennas. The newest Revell Turkish demo F-16 even has these antennas drawn on the paint instructions but the kit parts are non existent. Any help would be greatly appreciated. balls47
If you are referring the the F-16A MLU(Mid-Life Update), the "extended tail fin base" that you are talking of is mostly used to contain the para-brake, along with some other "stuff" depending upon the F-16 that you are building. I'll bet that you will find a ton of info in Jake Melampy's book.
habu2
In the Kinetic 1/48 kit those parts measure 0.125". In 1/72 that would be ~0.0833" (1/12") Edited July 4, 2014 by habu2
