egt95
This thing is starting to get tricky. Yeah. But it's looking really good. Mike

johnlove_mk_II
A little update Took a break from the cockpit to start working on the aft SSME area of the orbiter. Tile patterns to be laminated when the bulkhead is in place.
niart17
WOW! These bulkhead tiles are great! Really nice. Just one minor minor thing to point out. I believe the small triangle areas at the bottom is actually on another face slanting in and down. I'm sure I have a reference pic or drawing somewhere showing what I mean but I just can't find it right now. I could be totally off my rocker and be wrong though. Either way, these are awesome! spaceman
Hey John, Have you engraved the tiles?
johnlove_mk_II
Thanks Bill ... yeah I see the little triangle part between the two lower SSMEs. The transition is pretty subtle. Perhaps sanding it a little flat and using one continuous triangular piece of “tiles” would lend the proper effect. Hi Manfred, I used my little CNC machine to scribe the tiles … so much easier and more accurate. Worked on the Flight deck a little this weekend, I think it’s about time for some paint and detailing. niart17
John, this is looking really really good. I think when you get all this painted up and inside the fuselage it's going to represent the inner/outer skins perfectly. You're doing it just like the real thing. Very inspiring work! johnlove_mk_II
Hi Pete, Not yet, I kinda shelved the build for the time being ... but I have drawn some seats in 3D for possible printing. Unfortunately I'm finding that I'm kind of a project butterfly, flitting from project to project, never completing any. Oh, and thanks Brad. That’s very kind of you to say.
