I have a Badger "Million Air" silent compressor.

It uses a synthetic oil that for years I have

bought from Squadron under the Badger brand.

That compressor has been discontinued from Badger,

and I recently went to Squadron to buy some more

oil, but they show out of stock, which lead me

to google for another source.

I have found some synthetic compressor oils at

places like Lowe's and Home Depot, but they are not

the Badger brand.

There's a lot of knowledgeable folks here, and I'm

wondering if anyone might know if I can get away

with using these instead using the Badger product.

There's a warning on the Badger compressor that says

the warranty might be voided if I use other than the

Badger oil, but seeing that my compressor is 15+ years

old, I don't think I have to worry about that.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.....

As far as I'm aware, the Badger Million-air is (or certainly was) a rebranded Werther Sil-Air compressor, in the same way that Silentaire, Aztec, Revell & several other silent compressors are.

The all use the same synthetic 32 grade oil, Sincom 32/e, which is also sold under the Silentair brand as Silentaire oil (bottom of page). If the Lowes stuff is high temperature synthetic around the 32 grade, it may be OK.
