2qwik4u
Starting off small with an Odyssey Slipways 1:10000 Interdictor Class Cruiser The Interdictors were always my favorite class of large Imperial ships. Ever since I picked up a copy of the "Star Wars; The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels" I have been drawn to the otherwise sleek lines of the Sienar Fleet Systems Immobilizer 418 with the big gravity well projectors. This is the Odyssey Slipways resin kit in the very small 1:10000 scale. The kit consists of a hull, 8 gravity well projector hemispheres, a bridge, and a forward sensor array. With eight months to go, I just might be able to finish this one. Keep your fingers crossed! First, the obligatory "kit" picture: And then the also obligatory "parts" shot. With hobby knife for scale: First issue out of the bag, it seems we have an issue of "droop snoot": So, it was off to the sink to hit it with some hot water, some gentle pressure followed by a cold water rinse, and problem solved: After that, I cleaned up some minor flash and glued everything up with some CA. I then drilled a small hole in the bottom for the metal wire display stand. And now she's ready for paint! Now I just slap some paint on and find a suitable base and she should be done. What do you think Kris, can I finish it in eight months....? :hmmm:/> -Dave

Bigasshammm
Ha you may in fact finish something. If you ever played the X-wing computer games you really learned to hate these ships. One shows up and then you have to destroy it almost immediately or you can't hyperspace out. Man I miss those games. I can't believe they haven't rereleased them somehow on new consoles. 2qwik4u
Ok, here we go. Don't blink. First a couple coats of Alclad white primer: Next was a base coat of Model Master Camouflage Gray: After that it was detailing with various Vallejo colors. At some point a couple of the antennas broke off the front, but I think it looks better this way anyway: The centers of the engines were painted with Tamiya clear blue. After that it was some washes with Vallejo Black, Sepia, and Gray: Finally it was added to a 1 1/4" Dia wooden drawer knob that I picked up at the craft store:
