nspreitler
So I am not much of an armor builder, but I have the Academy 1/35 M1151 with the D Corporation conversion for an M1165. My intent is to build my truck which is an 1165. What I can't find are dry transfers or even a stencil template to do the bumper numbers and the driver/TC names on the windshield. I've seen WWII lettering but not the current day stencils. The truck also has twin COM231 antennas on it, and I would like to replicate those. Any chance anyone makes those or will I be scratchbuilding?
HeavyArty
For the stenciling, you can print them off from your computer using computer decal paper. Design them in a graphics program of your choice (I like PowerPoint), print, seal the decal paper, and apply like any other water-slide decal. Decal Paper: http://www.papilio.com/water_slide_decal_paper.htm I have not seen any AM COM 231 antennas. They are pretty easy to make with a couple different sized plastic rods though. I made some a while ago on a Stryker.
Ranger74
Check out model railroad sites or go to local hobby store that sells train sets. There are all kinds of decals/transfers of numbers and letters available in railroad decal lines.
Jeff_C
There is the eduard express mask that might fit the bill. #EDUXT037. Archer may have some decals that would work too.
