CorsairMan
I have a few...you have a few... I think most of us do. Here is a group build to finish all those kits we started but for whatever reason, we just put them away. I'm thinking of these parameters: - Any scale - Any kit - Any level of completion But - It has to be started - And it was started at least a year ago or you have not touched it in six months or more If there are other ideas, let's hear them! I'll moderate if we get the votes
Grant in West Oz
Yep, there's a few that need completion, a few more that require a bit of consideration and a whole lot more that will make the grandchildren grand toys. and top up tha spares bins. G
arnobiz
I have no idea what you're talking about... an anonymous modeller in complete denial Edited October 10, 2014 by arnobiz
phantom
I have a few models that have been IN the stash for years, as for all ready started. I will have to search the boxes.
White Wolf
Sounds like a great idea.
majortomski
I'm in with at least 5 things I want done.
dnl42
Hmmm, so you want me to face those monsters... I understand the therapeutic value of completing those shelf queens, but they're a shelf queen for a reason. I need to think on this one...
Don
Oh yes...I have MANY such kits. Sadly, too many to even admit. I could definitely use a little "spring cleaning".
CorsairMan
So many reasons for so many shelf queens... We're not here to judge.... Its all good. I think in a GB there is some incentive to do that last push. There would certainly be support! I've got 3 I'd love to finish off. The more the merrier.
ChippyWho
Yesss...only difficulty is choosing which of the 3 Cryostasis Chambers to open...
jminer
I know I have one that I'd like to get off the partially complete shelf and on to the display shelf.
Spectre711
I have a few I could finish.:rolleyes:/>
ross blackford
:D, I too have many shelf queens, far too many in fact. It sounds like a good idea but perhaps we should ask the GB committee for a 12 month build period to give us a chance to get as many of the shelf/hangar queens finished as is possible to finish. , Ross. Kurt H.
This is a great GB concept. I have a couple stalled out shelf queens that would be great for this GB.
achterkirch
This should be a yearly thing!
CorsairMan
I'm thinking a January 1 start date... Standard 6 month build. I tend to build less over the summer. I'm also thinking about raffle prizes but I am not sure what is appropriate to this GB.
ross blackford
:D, Unfortunately for me CorsairMan, your summer is my winter! That's one of the reasons why I suggested a 12 month build period. That would give everyone a chance to finish some of those Shelf/hangar queens most of us have lying around in boxes in the garage. , Ross
WymanV
I could see a 12 month GB, particularly considering the subject of this one. I have more than one in The Naughty Closet. Might provide the impetus to get a few of them done, or at least farther along. One of the reasons some of mine sit is because I've hit an issue my skills aren't up to tackling yet. A group build might provide some of the answers to get them going again. Ken
CorsairMan
I'm not against a year long build but I am concerned about the general lack of innterest that might occur in the last months.
arnobiz
I'm not against a year long build but I am concerned about the general lack of innterest that might occur in the last months. I would tend to agree with that: What we need is a good kick in the ar$e, not an other reason to procastinate ;)
dnl42
OK. I've decided to face at least one of those monsters...
Grant in West Oz
Perhaps we score on quality/ quantity/ years lingering basis, just for the laugh? G
CorsairMan
Ha ha! Excellent idea - maybe we have everyone "introduce" their model with those stats as well as the reason the project stalled. That way we can help each other over the hill.. C'mon everyone! Vote early and vote often!
spejic
Essentially my entire stash falls in this category. I'll try to pick something interesting.
CorsairMan
We need 3 more participants for this cleansing group build to get off the ground and onto the calendar. Join us and vote! It will be a blast! Edited October 16, 2014 by CorsairMan
