vivkulan
I am building the 1/48 Heller Mirage 2000 kit and I came to the point of attaching the gear doors. The instructions call out for the main gear inner doors and the front gear back doors down .But when I looked at pictures of the real aircraft, looks like they are up. Is the Heller instructions wrong?
Jennings
Are you trying to build what you see in photographs of real Mirage 2000s? If so, you've answered your own question :)
ChernayaAkula
As I understand it, the 2000's main gear doors open, let the landing gear deploy and then close again immediately.
Wege
from 0 - 7seconds you can see which doors are open on the ground and which are closed.I hope this helps.

pigsty
I recently completed the same kit (coming soon to a website near you!) and found the same problem. The trouble is, the doors don't fit at all well if you try to mount them closed. Even if you fettle the edges, they're still not curved correctly to match the underside of the fuselage. I gave up and did something else that appears in a lot of photos: I left them ajar. Closing the doors also helps to hide the very plain undercarriage bays. However, the outer door is attached to the leg and so doesn't close. You may want to add a bit of detailing in the outer portion of the bay too.
