Sebastijan
I am fairly certain Su-15's cockpit (as well as other Sukhois) was not painted turquoise. Nice progress pics, nevertheless Edited October 30, 2014 by Sebastijan

nicholassagan
It's not totally off, some filters and it'll look close. But it looks closer to Tamiya's light blue...

The second picture was one of the pictures I used as reference. I wouldn't paint my Flagon's cockpit light blue if had an option. I thought Turquoise was close enough so I used it. Nazar
Great job, very interesting. I once did a naborchik here on the Su-15, which now produces firm ...northstarmodels
Flankerman
Most Flagon kits get the intakes wrong - they are not straight sided - but canted out at the top...... My walkround pics are here. Ken

11bee
One of my favorite cold war jets (this thing must have been a beast to land with all that weight and those tiny wings), a fantastic build AND a fantastic tutorial as well. Thanks very much for taking the time to post all this. PS - why would you spend all that time detailing the engine nozzles just to cover up all that hard work with those covers? vags
You guessed right. The landing speed of this beast was very high. 290km/h - maybe more! PS - I did not put the covers on the nozzles. I placed them beside the aircraft (on the model's base) instead. Helmsman
Most Flagon kits get the intakes wrong - they are not straight sided - but canted out at the top...... My walkround pics are here. Ken Maybe a bit late, but here are couple of my old army photos from Anadyr AFB(click for full size):
vags
Hi guys, I am not really sure what is wrong with the kit's intakes. Maybe Flankerman can provide some more details since he raised the issue in the first place. But if the problem is the tilt to the vertical I think Trumpeter has got it right. Have a look at a (poor) photo of the finished model:
