RKic
Tom Magliozzi, died today of complications from Alzheimer's. He was 77 years old. For those of you who don't recognize the name, he was one half of the duo Click and Clack, the Tappet Brothers, hosts of NPR's Car Talk. I learned an awful lot about cars from those guys, and the show was pretty hilarious as well. I hope Mr. Magliozzi gets to tool around in his dream-ride on the great big road in the sky. http://www.npr.org/2014/11/03/357428287/tom-magliozzi-popular-co-host-of-nprs-car-talk-dies-at-
habu2
I just saw that sad news. I loved their radio show. Years ago I was actually a "puzzler" winner, I still have the letter, framed in my garage. http://www.cartalk.com/blogs/staff-blog/tom-magliozzi-1937-2014 Tom Magliozzi who, along with his brother Ray, hosted NPR’s hit comedy show Car Talk for the last 37 years, died Monday morning from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. “Turns out he wasn’t kidding,” said Ray. “He really couldn’t remember last week’s puzzler.”
11bee
That's too bad.. I was just listening to a rerun of one of their shows on Saturday. Those guys were great, very sad to hear about Tom's passing.

Old Blind Dog
Sad news indeed. But I smile whenever I remember all the bad-pun-laced hilarity and really good sound car advice he offered over the years. RIP sir. cheers Old Blind Dog
habu2
But I smile whenever I remember all the bad-pun-laced hilarity and really good sound car advice he offered over the years. I enjoyed this list of quotes by Tom. Their website is really slow as I type this, I imagine there are a lot of folks visiting there this evening.
PJFClifford
Car Talk has been part of just about every one of my Saturday mornings since maybe '88 or so. Sad, sad news. As long as they play the re-runs, I'll still be there. RIP.
WymanV
Heard this on the radio on my way home from work tonight. What a shame. I didn't know he was as old as he was. Ken

Old Blind Dog
Today's "Hemming's Motor News" site had a nice write-up about Tom. AND (oh! how he would have chuckled at this!) every car in the "for sale"column on the right was . . .A DODGE DART!!!! cheers Old Blind Dog Edited November 5, 2014 by Old Blind Dog
