ACADEMY 1/48 F-4J PHANTOM II VF-84 JOLLY ROGERS

No 'sink marks' here, just lovely styrene (though mis-colored). Since no one asked, here's my 'official' (TIC) pecking order of 48th Rhinos: Academy for B/N (and in all likelihood soon -J), and the C/D. Hasegawa for the gun-noses -E/-F + Wild Weasel/Recce. The -S would be Hase also, for now. No other kits need apply, thank you for your service but you may go now (looking at you R/M, Esci, Fujimi, etc...). :deadhorse1:/>/>/>

Thanks, interesting. Perhaps they tightened up their manufacturing process or quality control.

Looks like they've elaborated on how to paint the cockpit, plus maybe one or two other things clarified in the instructions. SURE wish they would have done Snakeyes instead of slicks... and that retched softer black styrene - that alone will cause me to wait for Eduard to rebox it.

So to kick the can down the road further would your choice for 'next' be for Academy to go onto after this: the (1) gun-nose E/F/EJ, or (2) Recce, (3) RAF/RN, or (4)Weasel?

They also had the 60 D models and 55 E model to go with the 18 RF-4Cs they got form us in the early 90s'
