Liberator24
Will it be the discount sales leading to nothing left worth anything to purchase? -Jim
Youngtiger1
I don't know if they will or will not, but I do know well see them playing theater game of removing or labeling out of stock on good items as they have done for past couple off years.
Liberator24
Well, if there is a new management deal, they might do there famous sale again...you know the one? Its the one where they have a lot of stock of popular items and we get those kind of deals?? LOL! -Jim
galileo1
Whatever they decided to do I won't be buying regardless. Lots of other good shops out there to waste time with Squadron. Rob Edited November 13, 2014 by galileo1
CJH
Yes, it was almost magical how overnight the Squadron elves jacked up the prices and made all of the worthwhile kits that were in stock, go out of stock. In reality, it just ends up looking a lot more like a clearance sale of unwanted kits than a Black Friday sale. Oh well...
fulcrum1
I hope so, I cleaned house with this a couple years ago.
Liberator24
Ok, so we have a teaser that ends tonight.....soooo, I checked. They aint got jack! I am pretty sure I will donate my check over to Sprue... Too bad Squadron. We would make you guys wealthy! -Jim
JEFlint
Eh, I'll check to see what Squadron has to offer, but it's been years since I ordered anything from them. I think I can get a better deal thru other internet sites or my LHS.
dahut
I've got a whole bin full of fishing worms.
viper730
Thanks Squadron I scored lots of great items over the years and my fill rate was about 95%. I was spending 600-1000 dollars per black Friday event so we are talking a good bit of merch. The ones who missed out on stuff just were not fast enough.
dahut
I've gotten a lot of stuff from them in the past. I usually hit up their sales, for the most part. I could never find reason to complain - what's the complaint here?
Rodney
The past few years, I've spent enough to get the 50% discount. However, due to availability, its gone from more kits to aftermarket items this past year. I did get their pre-Black Friday sale email this past weekend. I couldn't see the point in spending $100 to get the opportunity to shop their Black Friday sale early. I'm not sure they have enough in stock for me to partake of this years sale... Todd
It's just the standard ploy of raising prices, then having a sale that brings the price back to overpriced retail sales. A lot of kits of obscurities and leftovers that couldn't sell. I can't remember the last time I ordered from them. I get better products and prices from others. I'm a sucker for obscure kits and esoteric topics - but not at inflated costs. Where do you prefer to order?
Liberator24
I am hoping that Gordon at Sprue runs a nice sale. I have money I am more than willing to part with for some of the new kits... -Jim

I know he occasionally puts some brands on discount, usually about 10%. Rodney
Liberator24
You know it doesnt really matter. I will be able to get what I want-it's in stock and it will be here in a few days. Always a great shopping experience. -Jim
Rodney
Nice timing. Just got an email from Sprue Brothers with 20% off on model kits. Rodney

r0t0rdr1ver
Nice timing. Just got an email from Sprue Brothers with 20% off on model kits. Rodney Yup! Well worth it. Airfix 1/24 Typhoon shipped is $105 with the discount. What a bargain!
dahut
I've made a commitment to limit the stash to 10 kits or less. None of this is helping
Rodney
I ended up placing an order with both Sprue Brothers and Squadron. Overall, I don't believe Squadron's sale was competitive but they had the Hobbyboss A-6E for $20 cheaper than Spruebrothers plus the 20% off. Everything else, I ordered from Spruebrothers. They included the DACO F-104 update set in the sale and I got a second set plus other odds and ends! My wish list is to get the new Viggen kit when it hits the US.
