Phartycr0c
Hi Folks, I have been neglecting my presence on ARC of late as work and real life got in the way of my modelling time, however i thought i'd share two builds i recently completed for the Telford IPMS. These were part of the 32 sig stand who's theme was (loosely) the 70th anniversary of D Day sO I started two projects. 1st is "Solar bolt" and experiment using a cheap hobby solar panel and motor. I wanted to depict a P47 at the point of take off but wanted something different in that I wanted the prop to turn to "liven" the scene hence i bought a mico motor which comes with a small solar panel and by using the stand as a circuit the prop turns whenever sunlight hits the panel. Good idea but as it spends most of its time on a shelf indoors, perhaps batteries were the way to go, anyhow some photos. The finished article and one during construction showing proof of concept and the driver part 2 to follow
Phartycr0c
My second Vignette is to balance the books as it were. Called "the day before" it depicts Pips Prillers aircraft undergoing servicing while Priller himself nicks the groundcrews coffee. Priller, was one of only two German aircraft to make an appearance over the Allied beachhead on D Day. the second was his wingman. I had this idea after scoring an old boxing of the 1/32 Hasegawa 190 for £2.99. The figures are the Verlinden set as is the aircraft detail set. The planking is made up of coffee stirrers. Joel_W
Two really excellent dioramas. The P-47 taking off really is very well done. Joel

tobiK
Haha, nice interaction! The mechanic does not like the pilot drinking his coffee! Looks to kill...
