kurnass77
That's a killer Spark Vark,I love all of it! What did you used as panel wash,I love that subtle shade insted of a more common dark grey/black that result in a "illustartive panel lines" model... And now I'm waiting for your other Earth Pig! Cheers, Gianni
Benner
What did you used as panel wash,I love that subtle shade insted of a more common dark grey/black that result in a "illustartive panel lines" model... My panel washes are a mixture of enamel paint, typical gloss black with either some grey, raw umber, or brown, so that the colour isn't too dark against the paint it is being applied on. thanks for the compliments everyone :)
Joerg
Fantastic model. I really like all your ODS builds. Where did you find the decals for an ODS Spark Vark? I´d love to do an UH bird some time, but cannot find any decals for it. Cheers, Joerg
Nev
Very, very, very nice! Did you use much AM?

Benner
Fantastic model. I really like all your ODS builds. Where did you find the decals for an ODS Spark Vark? I´d love to do an UH bird some time, but cannot find any decals for it. Cheers, Joerg The decals are a mixture of the old Superscale Raven sheet, kit decals (from a number of kits), and custom decals done with photoshop and printed with an inkjet. There is no ODS Spark Vark sheet so that's where the custom decals came in. There is a Upper Heyford sheet by Afterburner Decals http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/decals/ab/decal_ab_48070.shtml It's a nice sheet, but I recommend researching the plane you are building and closely checking references as there were somethings I had to change on my F-111E build. Very, very, very nice! Did you use much AM? Certainly did :) -Paragon slats / flaps -G-factor engine exhausts -Master metal pitot tube -BlackBox cockpit set -SAC forward gear bay / nose gear (I stuck with the injection parts for the main gear) -Ozmods wheels
Thadeus
I always liked the EF-111A. Somehow I like it better than regular F-111's. Your model is very nice, what colors did You use for the camo? BTW. I can't imagine how HUGE this model is in 1/48!
DET1460
Haven't met many 111's I didn't like... And I LOVE this one! Great work! DET1460
Benner
I always liked the EF-111A. Somehow I like it better than regular F-111's. Your model is very nice, what colors did You use for the camo? I only airbrush acrylics and the top side is Gunze Sangyo Aqueous 307 Dark Ghost Gray. The underside is supposed to be FS36492 I believe which isn't available in modeling paints. So mine is based on the suggested colour mixtures given in the Hasegawa EF-111 kit instructions, 80% Gunze 338 (Light Gray) and 20% 308 (Light Ghost Gray). I can't recall what colour mixture I did for the radome. Thanks Thadeus and DET1460 for your kind words :)
Joel_W
Benner, Just a truly outstanding build. Your paint scheme and weathering is absolutely perfect. The more I looked at your pictures, the more I liked your finished build. It's that good. Truly what a display model should be. Joel
