Falcon50EX
I really like the shade of Gloss Sea Blue you used. FWIW, there's some disagreement as to exactly which version of Corsair that is. Photographic evidence strongly points to a Brewster F3A-1A, Goodyear FG-1A or possibly an early, re built/ reworked F4U-1A. the plane has the 63 gallon wing tanks, so its not a -1D. This is based on photos that Tamiya may not have known about when they selected markings for that kit. But it doesn't take away from the fact that it is a beautiful model! Thanks for posting! okthree
Quite possibly one of the best and most realistically weathered GSB finishes I have ever seen on a Corsair model. Nicely done.

Joel_W
Voss, Just a rock solid build with a fantastic paint job & weathering effort. I'm not a big fan of a museum looking glossy Sea Blue scheme. Your transformation to a operational aircraft that's seen a lot of use is very realistic, and adds a tremendous amount to your overall presentation. As for the issues of the markings for a -1D, this is the 1st time that I've seen that in all the reviews of the Tamiya kit, and it's been reviewed several times on the usual sites. So I would have, and still just might use the kit decals on mine build, as I've already built the -1, and -1A Tamiya versions. Joel
HAMMER32
The weathering is beautiful.
Jinxter13
If I were a judge and you entered it in a contest, it would win something!!!, the weathering alone makes it a standout!!!, the rest speaks for itself.
