ShaunBD
Quick question to the A-7 Corsair fans. What style of front tyre was used on the USN A-7E, was it smooth around the edge of the tread pattern or did it have the segmented noches? Also what was the normal position of the airbrake on a parked A-7? Shaun.
Sgt Spooky
Don't know about the tires, but I've only seen the air brake retracted when parked. Given its size.. I would think the aircraft would need to jacked up pretty high to be fully deployed on the ground.
Finn
Here are a couple of tire examples: http://media.nara.gov/stillpix/330-cfd/1986/DN-SC-86-11538.jpeg http://data.primeportal.net/hangar/vodnik/a-7e_walk/A-7E_005.JPG looks like either one is okay. The airbrake can be either up all the way or just slightly open: http://media.nara.gov/stillpix/330-cfd/1989/DN-ST-89-01927.jpeg Jari
ShaunBD
Cheers,Both wheel types were use. What are the best aftermarket wheels in 1/48th? I was hoping the airbrake would drop a little, will make fitting it easier. Shaun.
