Joel_W
Ken, Your pictures are great. Wish I had more when I was doing the planning and then the painting. Sorry for the confusion in the names of the paint colors. Being a Tamiya acrylic guy, most of their colors are generic without any FS numbers, so I slipped back into their nomenclature. As I said the base color is Light Ghost Gray FS 36375. I was going to use Dark Ghost Gray GF 36320 but doing more Google searches, the colors just seemed so varied from the two official schemes. I forgot that you posted that picture, but I had saved it as I really liked the overall scheme. The pictures I posted aren't the best as my Nikon D90 processor really seems to struggle with capturing them. I didn't bother to spend much time in Post Editing because the light weathering will alter the colors to both in brightness and tonality. I took a few more pictures and will process them between games. Joel
Joel_W
Ken, Did a couple of google searches, and the Oregon 142FW Oregon ANG and the Massachusetts ANG seems to have also used that Blue/Gray and Gray scheme. Caracal makes those decals, which I originally had decided on, but still haven't ordered them. Joel
Ken Middleton
AWESOME pics there Ken, WOW! :thumbsup:/>/> :thumbsup:/>/> :thumbsup:/>/> thanks Chuck! Just to clarify, the pics posted and decal sheet are for the 173rd FW out of Klamath Falls, OR. The 142nd FW is out of Portland, OR, and Caracal actually makes those decals as well Good luck with the colors, the MOD Eagle scheme looks so different when aged and in different light. So you have a lot of leeway in doing the colors. Edited January 11, 2015 by Ken Middleton

I took a few more pictures at half time, and did a better job on the Post Editing. Still having some issues, but these pictures are much better. taggor
Joel your building is quite clean (a skill I really need to work on). I think your photographs are quite good too. I am looking forward to more progress on your build here.

As for the photography, well, I try, but model photography is all about lighting, and I need to really put together a workable lighting setup. Joel

KursadA
I really like the paint work and the tonal variation - this is shaping up to be a very nice build!
Peterpools
JA Paint work and cammo looks great and I know all the work you had to go through to get it right. Of course, you know me, always looking for an easier way and the trend now is for paint sets with all the colors in one box. For the Eagle: http://www.migjimenez.com/en/new-releases/329-usaf-colors-grey-modern-jets.html Bro

Thanks so much for stopping by and having a look. As a matter of fact I ordered the Caracal F-15C sheet #1 as I really want to the Oregon ANG scheme. Joel

For the Eagle: http://www.migjimene...odern-jets.html Bro Pete, Glad you like what you've seen. Of course getting the colors right was a real killer that took a few days and a lot of trial and error. That MIG set has all the right colors, but if I opt for another Acrylic line of paints, I want to give LifeColor a real shot. Joel

But the ones in those photos look like you could find a suitable substitution, as they look on the modest and smallish side. Joel
