B.Sin
On the Trumpeter/Hobbyboss Facebook page, they have announced a new MiG-31 in 1:48 scale. Brad

Koen L
:(/> Bummer. AMK just can't catch a break. Let's hope they can at least release theirs first.
mingwin
if AMK MiG-31 is out first, i'll buy it... if its theTrumpeter's one...i'll wait till AMK's bring theirs to see what AMK's offer worth before buying it! but if we can take trumpeter's announcements seriously, we'll have a lots of kit to come before they'll bring a 1/48 MiG-31! JeffreyK
I just hope AMK can continue with their project.
B.Sin
Personally I would like to see a AMK continue with the project. Considering trumpeters reputation for screwing things up. Brad

Dmanton300
What's that tail in the cut-off pic on the left? A Saab Lansen? I'd say yes.
Laurent
IMHO Trumpeter/Hobby Boss are just "2D-to-3D translators". I don't think they do efforts to ensure that the drawings they use are accurate or not. They just take any old drawings, some walkarounds and make a kit out of these. If the drawings are accurate, it's just an accident. I don't expect anything from them anymore. Edited December 11, 2014 by Laurent

And this is actually HB announcement, not that there is any difference.
Jennings
Oh boy. An updated Lindberg kit!
jonbryon
*sigh* I see more expensive resin in the future, given the amount I've spent on the MiG-23 and Su-24 thus far... Jon
solher1
I know Trumpeter/Hobbyboss probably won't pay attention or care, but why don't people who use Facebook send multiply messages to them to ASK them not to screw this release. I am very interested in the AMK release and I hope they are not discourage by Hobby Boss/Trumpeter release. About the Lansen, I just hope is good too and not as the over priced the Tarangus release. Wayfarer 30
Very excited! I hope it is sooner than later.
Nightfighter
I wish it was a Mig 25. All we've got in 1/48th is that old inaccurate Revell kit and the inaccurate Kittyhawk thing. The kits in 1/72nd are no better too.
Jennings
I wish someone who gives a rat's behind about quality would do a MiG-25.
Vince Maddux
I wish someone who gives a rat's behind about quality would do a MiG-25. It's Trumpeter, the Box will say Mig-31 but accounting for their mandatory shape errors, it might be closer to a Mg-25! At least at first glance they look alike. ijozic
Jeez, tough sub. I'm glad they're working on one as it means more Soviet/Russian types might follow int he future (hopefully that long time coming Su-27 finally materializes next year). It would suck for AMK if this comes out first - only saw those CAD models of theirs one so not sure how far they've come.
