victory101
I need some help for the group. I am building the 1/32 scale Tamiya F4U-1A Corsair for a friend of mine. I plan on putting the kit put on a base with finely crushed coral and a few palm trees. The problem is I can not find any one who makes a 1/32 or 1/35 scale palm tree. Can any one either tell me where they can be found or how to make them. Thanks in advance. Victory101
Don
Verlinden makes Palm trees in 1/35. https://www.verlindenonline.com/1-35-palm-trees-resin-etched-78.html Also, wander through your local craft shop...linger around the fake/dried flower section. Use your imagination, there are some great looking "palms" among those fake/dried plants. Check this out: http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=viewtopic&topic_id=126773 And this: http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=41276 Hope this helps. famvburg
Somebody back in the '70s made 1/35 palm trees, Fujimi or someone Japanese. I got some for a Skyraider dio I did way back in the early-mid '70s. I'm pretty sure they were 1/35 because it was my Revell 1/40 A-1, but if they were 1/48 they coulda just been smaller palms. Check eBay.

Don
I forgot to mention in my initial post back in January, but check out a well stocked pet store that sells fish. They often have a good selection of fake aquatic plants and many of them can be used for tropical foliage. Regards, Don.
