Hal Marshman Sr
Absolutely stunning!
Tbolt
Very nice. I guess the P-47N engine and prop set can be used on the Tamiya P-47M kit as well, if it fits in the Tamiya cowling. I see you have added the control rods from the throttle quadrant on the 'N' cockpit, but not on the 'D', but that's easy enough to add with a bit of plastic rod. I was going to kit bash the Tamiya with the Academy 'N', so the wheel wells will come in handy, the engine as well. I'll have to check that the Academy cockpit will roughly fit in the Tamiya fuselage to see if that is worth buying as well. I might have to track down another Academy 'N' with all this nice stuff you are giving us! (not sure why Eduard didn't rebox the 'N' like they did with the Academy 'D'). I was going use the Academy kit for parts of the wings added to the Tamiya kit, but I haven't look at it closely yet, too many other models to finish!
CF104
Wow, those look great! The P-47N parts are just what I'm looking for. What is the best online store for Vector? I've purchased through Ultracast before but it will probably be a while before they have the P-47N items in stock. Cheers, John
Corey
ahhhhhh, timing! I could have used all of this several months ago! :) Looks great though! Sergey, would you consider selling some kind of N model wing conversion for the Tamiya M like you have posted above? Aurora Mark
Sergey, I first started to purchase your resin engines when they first started to come out. Your radials are second to none in my opinion. Such fantastic and fine, crisp, and ACCURATE detail! I am so happy to see you expanding your lines to more than just engines. Brilliant! Mark. Tbolt
Sergey, while you are on a P-47 role there's a few things about the Tamiya kit that I don't like - first is the open cowl flaps, they don't appear to open quite far enough and there is no detail on the inside. Also the air splitter in the cowling is poorly shaped. ScaleQuest did a set that included both parts improved, but I believe ScaleQuest are no more ScaleQuest P-47 Set . Doesn't look much like the strange twisted splitter vanes that Tamiya has given us does it? The other thing is that the elevators are not separate, as P-47's were usually seen with the elevators in the down position, yet no one seems to have given us a set for the Tamiya kit. If someone gave us a good replacement splitter and elevators, I would buy at least 30 each of them, as that's how many of the Tamiya kit I have in the stash at the moment. Probably only go for 15 or so open cowl flaps though.

As for the Razorback cockpit, the improved the sidewalls are for the Razorback cockpit, I guess decided there was no point doing the whole cockpit as the rest is pretty good in the kit. dragonlance
Hi Sergey, beautiful sets. I have the P-47N wheel well on the way from Hobby Easy, didn't know that you made the cockpit and engine/prop ones too! While we're on the subject of wishes, Airfix 1/48 109E needs a good wheel well set Keep up the good work. Vedran

It's no secret that I have a plan to build at least two razor back P47D's and a couple bubble top P47D's plus at least one "M" and maybe a "N" this year. T-Bolt and Leo E. have gave me lots of help in gathering the parts for this project, and once again send the two of them my heart felt thanks. Now you come out with a bunch of "N" parts! Would be nice if you would create a build thread for the P47N conversion (Tamiya is getting rich off me!) As it looks right now, I can see a minimum of four wheel well sets and engines. Probably closer to eight! Plus several cockpits. Gonna be poor this year, and I have to buy an engagement ring real quick. (looks I won't be eating well for the next twelve months) gary

Tbolt
Finally got around to buying the P-47N wheel well and engine set and as good as the photos here are they are even better in the flesh. I also picked up the splitter, tailplane and open cowl flaps set and they are all really nice. Thanks Sergey! :)
