B-17 guy
Has anyone tried this? It's a paste, says it's wax based. http://ak-interactive.com/v2/?product=true-metal-aluminium
carlizle84
Phil Flory did a really in depth review of this and 3 other types of NMF paints, (Alclad II, Model Master Metalizers, and GSI Metallics). Its an hour and a half long, but it's a great video.
Exhausted
Ooooh interesting. Is it meant for plastics? I thought AK made some model paints so it might work.
Rex
Thanks for the link to Phil Flory's video. I have three of the colors, and I have painted them on and buffed them to shine. The big difference between this AK product and the older Rub n Buff that it keeps getting lumped in with, is that the AK product actually dries. Just before typing this, I walked over and picked up the chips, and rubbed my thumb on them very hard. I got a slight "shiny flake" or metallic dust on my thumb, as you would by mishandling any metallic painted model. One last test that no one seems to have tried (or at least, hasn't posted a video of) is to see if decals will stick to a model part "painted" with AK True Metal after it has dried,,,,,,or what the appearance is after a clear coat. Even if decals won't stick right,,,,,,,,I think this will become the easiest way to do a Phantom's exhaust and tail area.
