MH-53E

Recommended Posts

This was the last model I completed and my first attempt at a Helicopter. It was built for a friend of mine that works in my shop. It is the 1/48 Academy kit. These helicopters are addicting!!!

Wow that looks super! Great weathering too!! A question, what are those things hanging off the front that look like giant rearview mirrors?

Looks awesome. Great job on it.

A question, what are those things hanging off the front that look like giant rearview mirrors?

They are just that, giant rear-view mirrors. They are used when pulling a mine detecting sled or slung cargo.

Simply beautiful. Are those marking are out of the box?

Yes... For the most part the markings are out of the box with the exception of the striep and stars on the tail. I painted that on using a picture that I got off of the internet. The fod covers on the exhausts are done with dry transfers. Thanks a lot for the great input!!!
