Don
Hello all, Here is my completed 40 year old TAMIYA 1/35 T-34/76. Built for the "Shelf Queens" group build, it is nice to finally have this two-time shelf queen finished and in the cabinet: The model depicts a Soviet T-34/76 maneuvering in tall grass against German positions in the late hot dusty summer: The base is pine that I stained, groundwork is sculptamold, grass is two different shades of late tall summer grass from Woodlands Scenic, dirt is a mix of pigments and finely sifted and sanitized dirt. Paint is TAMIYA, Testors Acrylic, and Mig Pigments. It is built completely OOB...not bad for a 40 year old kit! The figures are my first in a longtime (don't ask how long...): More build photos and detailed descriptions found here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=281564 And here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=281385 Comments welcome. Kind regards all, Don

Don
it's a nice looking mickey mouse with the base there Don. i see the tall grass and a very short puffy looking ones, what did you use for the short ones? Thank you very much. I really enjoyed building this 40 year old kit, even just OOB. Simple, easy, and fairly quick...despite it taking me three times over many years. The short grass is also from a company called Woodlands Scenics, it's called "Static Grass Flock". It looks great for dried, burnt looking grass. It comes in many colors. I also used fine and coarse turf from the same company in late summer/early fall colors. Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it. Regards, Don.
