DutyCat Posted January 31, 2015 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Ok, folks...JAXCON is only a week away, so those of you in the SE get those finishing touches on your latest masterpiece and find your way to Jacksonville, Florida next Saturday. Aside from about a hundred categories, which I believe is probably about as big as it gets except for at the national convention, we will have a boatload of venders in attendance, from garage kit sellers to mainstream distributors of airbrushes, tools, and finishing materials. We will also have the traditional raffle. JAXCON traditionally kicks off the annual show schedule in Region 11, and is the largest show in the southeast. So, as the saying goes, "Be there or be square." Here is a link to the IPMS First Coast Facebook page which has all of the event specific info, as well as pictures of our top quality awards. Also, for the first time, we will be giving out an event commemorative pin to each contestant. These were expensive to get done, and we were only able to do it because of the continued support JAXCON has received over the years from the modeling community throughout the region.
