tobiK
Yes, you are wrong. I have seen several builds and the only issue is the assembly sequence in the instructions. I was so impressed by the builds threads that I've got now three of the kits in the stash now. It also contains unused parts for a GR.1 and an ECR. I have not build the Toni yet, AFAIK it is not a shake n bake kit and needs careful work! You talk about WIP threads? So maybe not here in ARC (the only thread i know is from Paolo Maglio http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=276500&st=0&p=2625969&fromsearch=1entry2625969). Also in the german Flugzeugforum there is nothing in "Bauberichte online". Any other links to good WIP threads?

Lancer512
Take a look at this thread on Britmodeler: http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234966619-revell-148th-raf-tornado-gr1a/ Also, there are at least three other WIP builds on another british modeling page, which unfortunately is not free as ARC. So I can't post anything from there. Also, Phil Flory did a series of WIP videos of that kit on his web site. Regarding the sequence: if you glue the front section to the main fuselage this may cause some problems when aligning the top fuselage parts. Instead you'll have to keep everything loose and only after aligning the three main parts, put it together with Extra Thin glue. If I may add, the OP did not ask for the Revell's easiest kits, he asked for their best kits. Edited February 9, 2015 by Lancer512

Lancer512
Regarding the Tornado: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=282334 He shares my opinion. Maybe it was too just early to expect more builds of that kit here on ARC?
Janissary
Regarding the Tornado: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=282334 He shares my opinion. Maybe it was too just early to expect more builds of that kit here on ARC? I also check European forums from time to time. When the kit finally came out everyone was so gung-ho about it raising my expectations to Tamiya standards. However, once a few builds got started, there were quickly issues such as gaps (due to Revell's poor sequencing or not I don't know) that caused me to think it is not trouble free. I am not saying I expect a perfect kit, or that Revell Tornado is not best in its class. Most of it I think is builders' unfamiliarity with a new kit and once we get more of these WIP's a lot of nice tips and techniques will naturally emerge making it a great build.
