Looks like quite the tricky and challenging kit with all those CF decals and such...way beyond my level of car modeling at this stage. Despite your woes, you are making steady progress and she will look sweet with the work you are doing  .

Great updates.

Cheers...and happy St. Patricks Day... !

CF decals are tough as is but definitely tricky on something like this thing. One tip I can provide is soaking a Q-tip in Micro Sol and hold it in each of the holes on the rims with fairly firm pressure. Since yours are already on I would brush some Sol on first and let them soften a bit but this is how I get CF to work into recesses.

Other than that keep up the good work, this should be sweet when it's done.

Got the studio 27 set and it's very nice. Spent about 2-3 hours decaling the seats and some of the interior yesterday. Didn't even get halfway done.

Will do some more today and get pics hopefully.

Pretty sure there's more on the sheets that's not covered in the instructions. Decals cover three sheets. Something like 20 decals per seat!

Bout halfway done with the seats. May get them finished by tonight but there's many that go over top each other so I have to be patient.

Almost forgot seatbelts. Would have been a shame to do Ll this and not have belts. Checked the spares tub and found this tubing like stuff. Seemed to be the right color and I split it in half and it was a perfect size. Then I realized after looking at pictures what these extra decals were in the Studio 27 set.

Finally the interior is finished. Will try n get it all together tomorrow and shoot some pics.

Most of the body is together. Have a couple spots to clean up then it'll be ready for paint. Gloss black will be first. Followed by a lot of masking ugh. Then chrome and the orange. I imagine it will be a lengthy paint process.

2 plus hours of masking. Also wasn't happy with a couple imperfections in the paint so I sanded some spots and had to reshoot the gloss black. Means I should have the first layer of chrome applied hopefully Wednesday. I'm getting anxious I want to see it in orange.

Alclad

Definitely needs another coat there's some weird spots where the paint didn't flatten out properly. Not sure.

And I won't deny it's tempting to leave it chrome.

Put two coats of orange on. I'll take it outside later today and get a really good picture of it but I think it looks awesome. Can't wait to get the masking off.

In the sun!
